CAMPO DI FIORI

We sat down outside and ordered off their set menu. The mussels with fries were delicious. I had the beef stew with gnocchi - very well spiced slow cooked meat. And the desserts were yummy too. A live music performance would have put this place over the top!

Had to change tables right away because of bad odour in the air. Still, next table was bit wobbly, perhaps to be expected sitting outside at the Cours Saleya. Food and wine were good. Service was equally good. On the menu was Spaghetti a la Bolognese and Penne alla Arrabiata. The wine was a regional French white. Price was within what other restaurants in the neighbourhood are charging. No real complaints here. This restaurant is recommended and we may go back for their fixed menu deal.

Food was decent, but the desert (crème brûlée) was a bit burned and tasted as a pudding bought from the supermarket. Service was slow and bit chaotic. They have 2- or 3-course day menu at 24 or 29 Euro, respectively, which seems to be an economic option.

The seafood fritto misto was huge. It goes really well with the cold beer. Mussels salad sauce was a little bit salty at first but the second portion was just delightful. The Pizza was fresh and enough for one. The place has a great location with outdoor seating. Service was good and pleasant. They served some complimentary bread before our meal.

Stopped to this place as we've been here 3 years ago. A bit surprised as the food was so good previously. Now it was average. After we chose our table (4 seater and only 2 of us) the staff moved us to another table with 2 seats. I get thats standard when the restaurant is busy, but the tables were 70% empty. The mulles in creme had a lot of crabs in them and not everyone is a fan of them. However the taste was really good and creamy and the meat was soft. The salad on the Fresca pizza was a bit old as it softened up. Two out of 4 staff were friendly and gave us a good and welcomed feeling.
