Yesterday we spent an hour driving around St-Maximine and Tourves trying to find a place that still served food; many restaurants closed earlier than indicated by Google Maps opening hours.
After trying three different pizza places in Tourves without success, we were about to give up and return to our campsite and warm up a bag of soup -- by that time it was already 22:15. The waiter at La Remise (which was already closed for dinner as well) felt sorry for us and came running after us when we walked to our car. He told me we could have the pizza that was prepared for him, as he wasn't hungry anyway.
Such a selfless, surprising and wonderful offer-- and the pizza itself was extremely delicious! Thank you so, so much, La Remise!!! You deserve the full 5 stars for service and food!

We had an excellent Paella and Carbonara followed by devine gooey Chocolate Fondant. Very friendly and efficient staff. Service 10. Quality of Food 10. Flavour 10. Value for money 10.
Some very interesting pizzas on the menu too including a sardine pizza with mozzarella, parsley and lemon and also a pizza escargot. Can't wait to return.

Awesome authentic Italian pizza cooked in proper wood fired oven. Also has a deli counter to buy their cured meats, cheeses and wines. Lovely spot
