La Fringale

Busy place but food is Blah. Calamari was from frozen box, fries were cold. Steak was tough and sent back for more cooking as it was very rare. Came well done in 15 minutes. Salad was ok. Beers were ok. Saw more than one meal sent back to the kitchen. Servers were friendly but overwhelmed by the dinner rush.

We are visitors to France. We don’t expect perfection. We waited over an hour and forty minutes without getting our entrees while everyone around us was served. When we asked for the check politely so we could leave our meals appeared within 20 seconds. (No exaggeration). We paid and left without any fuss to people around or a pleasant exchange with the wait staff. We do not recommend this establishment-it was an awful experience.

Snails were pretty good but unfortunately it was the only good thing in this place. Pasta and meat was a total disaster. Prices were extremaly too high for that quality of food. I strongly dont recommend

Nice little place with a good atmosphere. Front room is rather crowded but not too bad. 2 of us there and ordered rib steaks. The meals came very quickly. Seems it's because the salad consists of 2 bits of lettuce and a tiny chunk of tomato. Also because one was order medium well done with pepper sauce which didn't have any pepper in it and turned up rare. The other was ordered medium rare and turned up very rare. Which caused severe acid reflux and vomiting and unable to finish eating. One staff member was very helpful and sympathetic and even brought out a replacement meal which unfortunately couldn't be eaten. She is awesome! The other who took the order to start with didn't seem to care in the slightest and when hastily leaving still charged us for the initial meal that couldn't be eaten. Overall this could be a very nice place but is severely let down by some of the staff and/or the cooks.

I came here with 4 family members. We're all in our 30s, from Canada. We all could not stop saying "OMG" with everything we tasted. It is seriously the best food we have ever had. We had just eaten at a really expensive restaurant in Paris and the food didn't even touch how good our meals were. We got carbonara, cod, duck, Normandy chicken, escargot, vegetable soup, salad, ice cream and the lemon meringue tarte. You need to eat here. Outstanding and the service was unparalleled.
