Don't go here! I wished I read the reviews before going here. They charge too much for a small salad and an undercooked pizza. I only ate 1 slice. Looks like they don't want to serve tourists. Staff did not speak English. The placemats are full of local advertisements. Just a silly idea from the 80's.

L'indus is a French bistro with an Italian flair. It's true that you will find an Italian menu but what you will experience are Italian dishes made à la Française. This doesn't mean they're are not tasty, but don't expect to be treated to an authentic Italian culinary experience. However what makes the day is desserts; they are truly homemade and exquisite, you could almost just come for a coffee and a dessert. Otherwise the service is good and people are very kind and welcoming which is the norm in regional France.

Stayed at the La Maison Dans le Parc (a must in St. Dizier) and they suggested L'indus. What a treat. Fantastic meal and atmosphere for locals and we felt well taken care of. Our French is passable, but the server and owner were fantastic in their suggestions to a couple of tired American travelers. You will not be disappointed if you give this a chance in your travels in NE France.
