RISTORANTE DEL ARTE SAINT DIZIER

Initially I gave them 5 stars, please see the review below. But because that they give only the pizzas for to-go / "a emporter", I downgraded to 3 stars. --------- Initial review ---- Something different in the infinite ocean of french fries, hamburgers and beef steaks! The veal stew it's worth trying. Even for deserts they propose also something diffrent than mousse au chocolat.

Despite it's name, the food here is not at all traditional Italian. The Florentine veal (covered in ham, cheese and sauce) is something I have never seen on a menu in all my visits to Florence and Tuscany! My son's pizza was anaemic looking, and had a tomato sauce that tasted like the sauce in tinned spaghetti! Definitely no San Marzano present here. Having eaten Nonna Rosetta's lasagne in Tuscany, and a great one in Bologna, I can say that my daughter's lasagne was truly foul and had an unusual earthy taste to it. The Maestrelle wine from Santa Cristina was good, but overpriced at €30 a bottle. It's a commercial wine that costs around €8 in any co-op in Italy. The Antipasti sharing platter was good, and the service was friendly and professional. My double espresso was good, but far too big - it was more like a quadruple espresso!!

Came here as a visiting English speaking person and they were so helpful and patient with us. Food was delicious and everyone was happy. Clean and a nice venue. Would recommend. A very nice lady who served us, thank you.
