RESTAURANT L'ENCLOS

We went to this cozy restaurant at the river on recomendation of our B&B where we stayed however we were not pleased with the price of a portion of fries. 9,50€!!!!! I have never ever eaten such an expensive portion of fries in my life and you must know it wasn’t even fried in a way it should be. We are coming from Belgium so we know what we talk about. Its mind blowing what they dare to ask for a portion. And lets not talk about the coffee.. what the hell was that. It was like this machine coffee made from a powder. Disgusting. ????

Food delicious and was well worth the trek!! Staff friendly and very helpful. ???? Few cons and thoughts to consider though... Lack of a printed menu made translation to english difficult as we were using google translators photo thing alot and it struggled with a handwritten menu! (hand translating was aso dofficult with the handwriting). Bar staff spoke not enough english to translate menu in full detail (fair enough no problems here we are the visitors after all, but with a picky friend it was almost essential to know what exactly each meal was so this would have been nice). Was surrounded by smokers during meal... big thumbs down. Path down was... dubious...! Fine during daylight hours, alone at night in the dark however? Well hmmm... Mostly unlit, rough path, with graffiti ect along the way... Was with a friend, but if id been alone id have felt very, very uncomfortable honestly. Especially after a locla sign on the bridge we passed under said local cars in the free car park are often subject to theft!... There was a rough stone path down that may be reachable by car, but I didnt see any other cars. So not sure if its possible or not. 100% ADORED the food, the octopus risoto, was well worth the trek alone. But yes not toally unshadowed. Would defo go back x

Great dinner with lovely views, great food and incredibly fast service.

Prime location right at the river. Interesting menu, appropriate prices. Just the opening hours could use some improvement..

100% recommended. Lovely food, friendly staff. Parking is a bit of challenge but worth it.
