LE MOULIN GRAND POULGUIN

A good time to visit this lovely little restaurant as it will be very busy 'in season'. Billed as a Pizza restaurant, this Bar/Brasserie actually offers far more and of course regular French Cuisne. A central bar is a focal point for drinks with cosy seating areas all around. 2 open terraces right on the river are lovely and command a great view. The one at the rear was my favourite. Don't forget to have a look at the working mill inside. Friendly staff and the owner took time to chat with us..... and in English, which was good for me! Je ne parle qu'un peu français!

We had a nice meal of galettes and crepes (with good ice cream) in a lovely setting overlooking the river. We didn't pay for the tap water. Very pleasant and efficient staff.

We have been here several times over the years and it has been pretty good. There are better places for food but the location is great and the menu has something for everyone. I had to ask where our drinks were after about 15 mins. it was pretty simple. Perrier, orangina and still water. They forgot the Perrier. Then the oysters which were 18€ for 6 just had lemon, no shallots. My daughter had pesto pasta which was fine but my wife and I had galettes that were pretty sloppy and badly done. When we got the bill they hadn't charged for the missing drink but had charged us 4€ for tap water in a premium, and faded, bottle. This place is a rip off with bad service. My advice would be to go literally anywhere else in Pont Aven.

Have been visiting since 2015 and has always top notch . Good menu / food reasonably priced and a very beautiful setting in Mill on the River Aven in Pont Aven as appreciated by many artists.

Very good food and a diversified menu. Very original gallette and crepes. Good service. Highly recommended.
