Only stopped for coffee, busy well staffed & efficient hotel exterior

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 course menu on the terrace this evening. Perfect setting looking out on the church, square and mountains beyond. Each course was great quality and generously sized. Definitely recommended.

This is a review of the upstairs restaurant. The staff were either apathetic or just plain rude. The restaurant was empty and they were not busy, yet they came up to us 7 times within 10 minutes to ask for our order (3 within the first two minutes), after we repeatedly said we were taking some time with the menu to decide and barely getting chance to read it because of the panic someone else would come over! After feeling incredibly pressured into panic ordering, our food came, and it was honestly okay in terms of taste and the portions were huge. We ordered some wine, which they forgot, and when they did finally bring over, was unfortunately corked (when air gets through the cork before the wine is opened so it goes off). My French companion explained this clearly but the waiter claimed that the wine had only just been opened and so it couldn't be off and angrily opened the next bottle in front of us to prove his point (entirely missing ours). Overall, the food was fine but the experience was actually terrible. Also - side note - stop offering the wine automatically to the male at the table - it's incredibly old-fashioned, misogynistic and offensive, especially when it's completely plausible that the man has no clue about wine but the woman does (as was this case).

We ate at the restaurant. The food was very average. My pizza was very oily and a bit burnt and my partners beef patty was not very tasty. The terrace is nice.
