We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was excellent and even though it's a regional group of restaurants with the same name, there seemed to be local particularities to the menu. It was definitely necessary to pre-book if you wanted to eat outside on a Sunday (many restaurants in Bourges are closed on Sunday). The initial service took a little time but once our orders were placed the food arrived quickly and as mentioned above it was excellent.
The position on a busyish junction meant that there was a fair amount of traffic throughout the time we were there with lots of delivery scooters from neighbouring businesses zipping around but the overall feel was pleasant.

We went on a Sunday evening - very few restaurants open and no food at hotel so when we came upon La Scaleta we decided to give it a go. We didn't book, but luckily they gave us a table, others after us were less fortunate despite plenty of tables being available. Maybe is was due to staffing issues. Sadly the outside seating was not available despite it being a really warm evening.
Food was flavoursome and service was efficient. The atmosphere was a bit muted and given that the building is so beautiful we felt it needed more buzz. Pizzas looked good, but we had a risotto and a veal cutlet both of which were tasty.

We had dinner there tonight. Very nice setting (beautiful old building) we had a pizza (crust was thin and crispy, done to perfection) and pasta (very tasty) and the desserts were just great. The waitress was professional and friendly. All in all a super evening!

Worst Italian food ever. The pizza is a disaster, the dough is thin and so hard, the "tomato sauce" is a a probable tomato concentrate from the supermarket, and the cheese is tasteless. There was no burrata for the Italia pizza, they were supposed to compensate with the ham and the mozzarella but I doubt they did. The chicken in the pasta is old cooked and heated. The aperol spritz was so diluted. The only positive thing is the very kind waitress.

Very good restaurant. As the first timer to Europe, we find this pleasant restaurant with variety of foods. In addition, the coffee is awesome
